taking a break from digital painting to work on something more analog. Its off to a good start.

Just finished the pencil sketch and the drawing in oil. The canvas was toned with burnt umber and ivory black. This is done to get rid of the bright white of the gesso, which would affect how the colors look; making the colors appear darker than they actually are.

Just finished priming the canvas for a new commissioned piece for the Hyatt remodel. I'll start sketching in the forms tonight. More to follow shortly.

Took off the tape and tweaking the tones wig with glazes. So close to being done, I cane can Taste it!

Finished the faces, sans a few touch ups. I have photos of shirt drapery and so I'll work on that today.
